ISMA membership of some 400 executives is centered on Chief Security Officers of major corporations together with the CEOs or delegates of major providers. Membership spans five continents, incorporating an aggregate employee base of 15 million, and aggregate revenues in excess of $3.5 trillion. Members collectively represent some 20% of the Fortune Global 500 including 25 companies in the FTSE 100, DAX, and CAC40 together with more than 50% of the Fortune 100 and 25% of the Fortune 500.
Members are required to participate actively, and membership ceases should this lapse.
Members represent the highest level of leadership in the security profession, and must secure sponsorship from three current ISMA members.
Security practitioners need to be the senior security executive whose primary responsibility is the development of security policies and controls for an organization with annual revenue exceeding USD $1B or its local equivalent. A Chief Executive Officer (or a direct line report of the CEO) of a supplier of security services is eligible for membership if the company supplies a full range of consultative security services and has annual revenue exceeding USD $100M or its local equivalent.
Applicants must be a recipient of a Baccalaureate Degree or its international equivalent from an accredited institution of higher learning or must have a minimum of six years’ experience in a policy making role in the security profession in private industry.
Annual membership dues are USD $1,500. There are further charges and associated costs for meetings and academic/development programs.
