ISMA-THI Course: Strategic Security Management

The International Security Management Association and Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) have partnered to develop the "Strategic Security Management" course. This course offers CSOs and their senior management teams an opportunity to develop business acumen in order to better integrate security into the business and position it as a thought leader and trusted partner.
This virtual certificate course is based on THI’s existing Security & Safety Management MBA course. The course is designed by Dr. Marc Knoppe, Professor for International Retail Management, Strategic Marketing & Innovation Management; Head of Strategic Partnerships, Security & Safety Management (MBA).
The course consists of intensive instruction and breakout working groups organized into three modules:
- Security Value Chain Management Module
- Understand risk analysis and stakeholder integration in a global context
- Understand key stakeholder groups and business processes
- Strategic Management Module
- Develop a process for a security business strategy
- Understand both internal and external security communication
- Empower senior security leaders for the board
- Security Business Case Module
- Develop a security business case as part of an enterprise value chain management strategy
- Understand how to apply these strategic tools to a corporate process
